This inspiring workshop will focus on the colour themes of the herbaceous borders at Floors Castle. Andrew Simmons, Head Gardener, will show you around the borders, explaining his vision for their design and how they are maintained.

The Summer months are the perfect time of year to look at your garden borders and plan for the Autumn, as well as looking with a critical eye at what has worked and, more importantly, at what needs dividing and moving. This useful topic will be highlighted by Andrew on the day. We will also look at our Tapestry Garden which was planted three years ago, showing how with careful planning beautiful new borders can be created.

Andrew Simmons has been gardening for many decades. His last garden was Balmoral Castle which he managed for 10 years and he has been Head Gardener at Floors for 12 years. He is a passionate gardener always working to the highest horticultural standards. He will share his expertise and enthusiasm in this informative workshop.

Time: 10.30am (Coffee and Shortbread served on arrival). Soup and sandwiches following the event will also be included, as well as FREE access to our beautiful Walled Garden and Castle.
