Steam Engine Driving Experience – £20
Make the most of your visit to the Primadonna Festival by treating yourself or a friend to a drive of our 1912 Steam Traction Engine, the Empress of Britain.
Become an honorary member of our Steam Team as you take the wheel of this majestic machine for a half hour chug along the track. It’s a great photo opportunity too!
Please note, the engine is steam powered, so the museum takes no responsibility for blobs of oil, grease and sooty smuts on you and your clothes. Participants must be over 25, hold a valid driving licence, be agile enough to climb onto the engine and wear closed footwear for safety reasons.
Bookable slots available Saturday and Sunday from 11am - 1pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm. One student per slot.
