Fruit tree grafting Workshop
10am – 4pm
£15 per person

The course will be led by Paul Read, of Suffolk Traditional Orchards Group and Orchards East.

We will teach the propagation of traditional fruit trees, with a hands-on demonstration of grafting. During the session, you will learn, and practice the whip-and-tongue method of grafting and cover other methods and propagation techniques.

You be provided with rootstocks and graft wood (scions) from a range of different fruit varieties for you to graft.

We will have specialist equipment and materials for you to use.

Please bring the following:

A Stanley-type craft knife with some fresh unused spare 60mm blades
A pair of good quality sharp BYPASS secateurs (not anvil type) that make a nice clean cut.
Gloves
Lunch (or we have a cafe on site)
